Hon.Uhuru & Ruto should clear themselves first. We are not ready to vote for them now.

Penguinfrosty • 11 years ago

With all due respect Hillary also comes from a country that has problbly caused more innocent deaths than any other country in living History. It is ironic that United States of America is not a part of the ICC process. They deliberately refused to sign in because "They have the right to take peoples lives " in the pretext of weapons of mass destruction. Remember what they did in Iraq and Japan. Who was ever taken to ICC. Give us a Break Hillary. Would you allow an American to be tried in another country? Folks this is the text book description of interfering with other peopls buisness.

I liked most/all the comments on this article so far..i hope we do what we say here

Kipepeo Cheusi • 11 years ago

Uhuru and Ruto have cases at The Hague for election violence..why would any sane Kenyan want to vote for these two??? Wakenya amkeeni..

Gabe Muir • 11 years ago

why are this not to honorable gents out here?because we are waiting on ICC?why are we waiting on them?because we have no faith in our system.if this is the case, why complain when Clinton comes from so far to organize our house?Ruto and Kenyatta have guts, only because we are cowardly.

Gideon John Arap Butia • 11 years ago

I think Other nations should give us a break! Kenya has only 47 counties and America is not among them.

Niulize Nitakwambia • 11 years ago

So basically this guys thinks that we are going to vote whether he and
Ruto should stand for presidency and then finally vote for him or Ruto
and anybody else to be president? If he is not on drugs, he needs them.
Some sentiments make me feel like some skulls are either brainless or a
manifestation of early childhood malnutrition which I am sure could not
happen in a head of states house right coz his father was president then
but again that's just my opinion

Vahid • 11 years ago

Uhuru was wrong when he states that 40 million Kenyans will decide who their president is through the vote. There could be only 12 million registered voters in Kenya and those are the ones expected to do the voting and the rest will accept their verdict. Just like, as stated in the constitution, judges can decide on integrity of a candidate and the r est of Kenya accepts.

Willy should stop putting those scrap metal welded bits and pieces in his offices claiming it to be art because it is not. It is ugly

Wololoyaye • 11 years ago

LOL!that is your take home message from the 3 page post!!

Peter Macharia • 11 years ago

Lee Kenyans decide for Kenya and not Obama or Clinton. They have their own problems to deal with. Uhuru and Ruto are still innocent so why deny them their right.?

Mo Ele • 11 years ago

you ve met and seen uhuru and ruto, but have u ever met or have any other kenyan met or seen obama, and who is he to decided what u should do, guys be grown ups and open minded

Chikombe • 11 years ago

The guilty are always ever so afraid. They said that when dry bones are mentioned old women quiver.

Kanja • 11 years ago

UK and Ruto, you really do not nee to get worried, if you guys are clean. What Clintons or Obamas say is not important if you are good, its us kenyans who will decide, but we are guided by the rules, so we shal play by them.

Francis Mungai Kimani • 11 years ago

It appears The US is ahead of the ICC, and here back home you 'll be forgiven for thinking that some two guys went fighting in 2007 killing and maiming Kenyans.
Relax, and lets wait for the outcome, Gods (storage) is unpredictable,

Irungu Steve Chei • 11 years ago

let the truth be told!!any presidential aspirant must taste chapter six laws of kenya, remember my brothers uk and wr are no longer suspects but accused ,how are they going to pass the test of chapter six of our new constitution?they better stop it now we have many brothers who can be our next president,no need to have a president who cannot fly out of the county or a president on the run like bashir,we better vote for a president who will be in a position to built our nation and accepted by international community after kibaki,i dont believe in tribalism any kenyan can lead the nation as a president we are all kenyans and we enjoy to be kenyans ,the spirits of 2007 should go to hell for ever kenyan voters for peace!!

A true Kenyan Mzalendo speaking. You give me hope, Chege, and inspire me. Mbugua.

Gideon Kuria • 11 years ago

It is a very bad idea for anyone to think he/she can rule our sovergnity. It is time we kenyans stopped pointing fingers to certain individuals. The world should respect the ICC process and relent from commenting on it. All laws on this land allow everyone to have emotions to or againist individuals but not hinder them to serving people. I always feel that most big mouthed individuals who feel kenyan politicians are not patriots either cannot even lead at family level or a church gathering. They only wish for good things to come like manna. They hover of how things could have been done but never contribute in anything. Am talking to you who never vote but always critic, it time you vie or stop spreadind evil hear says about our politicians.

kenyadaima • 11 years ago

No self respecting leader with an open case in court, especially crimes against humanity should try to run for office..let alone the highest office in the land. That we need foreigners to tell us that goes to show how brainwashed we are by tribalism and media. And while Uhuru and Ruto go around yapping that the kenyans should decide, of course they know they can manipulate kenyans but have no power over the foreign watchdogs. We kenyans need to wake up and stop listening to these politicians. We need to think rationally....

Rofi • 11 years ago

UK and WR must not be allowed to run for the presidency. The reasons why not are as clear as the midday sun. The young Wamalwa is now running errands for UK so anything coming out of his mouth should be taken as 'his master's voice'. It is that simple, the rest is politics and tribalism.

LeighTeabing • 11 years ago

Rofi andAlfotula: You guys have said it so correctly: The Altar Boy is so simple-minded, he does not understand his own irrelevance in the whole game-plan

Sometimes someone has to stand up for those who constantly suffer from Alzheimer in order to protect the weak, mainly children, women, and most importantly investments that command our economy.

peter ooga • 11 years ago

I am very sure if Kenya didn't need the US, she will care less about Mrs. Clinton's so loosely called dictatorship. As much as I don't like Clinton's approach on these issues, her house is in order and Kenyans leaders have something to learn if they want their people to prosper.

Chikombe • 11 years ago

Do we really have to like Mrs Clinton to behave morally? No we don't. We only have to respect human dignity and life. In addition to this we ought to respect people's choice to elect without undue cohesion. It is wrong to maim, murder, eject people from their livelihood for choosing not to agree with you. Had we behaved morally and recognised these basic human rights, then there could have been no one to remind us to toe the moral highway. In the same note we welcome Mrs Clinton’s input, we hope this will keep us out of the sticky situation we found ourselves in.

Do you know that Raila is an MP in Nairobi, assuming that only Luos voted for him as per your lopsided judgement, Will those supporters be from Luo Nairobi, or Nairobi Nyanza; any vote from Mombasa belonging to a Luo will be from Luo Pwani; any Luo working and living in Thika voting for RAO will be support from Luo Central.
It will also do you some good to go to school and learn some writing skills otherwise nobody is commenting on this article because 90% don't understand it and I paraphrase "Surely it is this kind of tripe that would make voters will bestowed
their goodwill on Raila during the last general election to abandon him
to his eletoral hour of need" I don't need to say anymore thing.

abdulmconyango1 • 11 years ago

Eliman,Just needed a quick spell check. Read now, hope you get the drift. But trying to make a mull hill out my competence in the English languege will fall flat on its face.

David Goliath • 11 years ago

Look at this one.. Where has the name raila come from!!! wait until the day they post his issues then we will coment, we are talking abt UK and arap songok. So can you rewind and come back again with the same

Chikombe • 11 years ago

You have completely missed the point Mr abdulmconyango 1, besides Raila; there are other contenders for the seat as well. You seem to have selective view embraced with aura of insularity. USA as member of global family has a right to comment on perceived or suspected moral injustice on individuals. Finally at no point did Hilary Clinton mention the name of the PM as beneficiary to the legal proceeding by the ICC against suspected perpetrators of heinous crime against humanity which resulted from the last election.

abdulmconyango1 • 11 years ago

Chikombe, you should know as i know that Karua is a token canditatewith no support even in her own constituency. She will very lucky if is elected as an MP in the forthcoming GE. Its undemocratic to deny the country a chance to vote for Ruto and Kenyatta. If their names are excluded from the ballot paper, people should boyott

Marjorie Maimba • 11 years ago

Onyango, you are wrong when you say a reformist in Kenya only means Raila's supporter what about Martha Karua's supporters???...stop confusing Kenyans...

David Wangai • 11 years ago

Some ignorant short-minded Kenyans think that by simply eliminating Uhuru_Ruto from the ballot box....The people who were planning to vote for Uhuru_Ruto will have no alternative and will be forced not to vote, or vote for 'their' candidate who was not eliminated! Sorry, life is not that simple, you will be surprised!!!!
Secondly, some Kenyans are guilty of..... either carrying out attacks on their neighbors ....or revenge attacks....or being bystanders who watched and did nothing to stop the PEV ....or people who enjoyed to see others suffer since they dont come from their own tribe....or people who gave moral/ financial, support to people who carried out PEV. GOD will punish those ones himself!

Eliman • 11 years ago

What exactly is your point?

David Goliath • 11 years ago

Tribal thats what you are

Alfotula • 11 years ago

Who is eliminating these two? Who cares who they vote for? If they are not on the ballot, as they will (not), you won't get to vote for them and Kenya won't be a laughing stalk in the international circles. Anybody but these two.

Ja'Kalifonia • 11 years ago

Let us not cheat ourselves, we need to get out of impunity, corruption, and tribalism. If Uhuru or Ruto were running for any public office in the U.S, I tell you they can't even dream about it. I know how the U.S respect the law. Let us not hide behind our tribes for the sake of upholding the integrity of the Republic of Kenya. Uhuru and Ruto will not remain in the political domain forever, but let us be aware that Kenya will remain Kenya so long as the world exist.

SIMON GECHORE • 11 years ago

this is pure rubbish journalism, there is no way any country can impose a leader on any country in the world!!! and there is no community that is targeted for heavens sake, Kenyans lets be smarter this round. tatumiwa hadi lini?, let this guys go to hague and argue their case and stop spreading hatred that your community is targeted. We as Kenyans have lived in peace for awhile till these new crop of politicians played a big role in separating us!

Kibet Anthony • 11 years ago

If the US wants us to abide by their "World Godfather hand" they are mistaken, they should allow us free choice of our next president;but i guess with the recent findings of underlying mineral prospects they need a person who'll be easy to do business with.

Samuel Gisemba • 11 years ago

This tells us how they'll rule this precious nation.Rule of law not in their vocabulary. Kenyans stay alert.

Peterson Olum • 11 years ago

It is indeed up to the 40 million Kenyans to decide, Mr. Kenyatta. Those same 40 million Kenyans endorsed a constitution that many still refer to as the new constitution, but otherwise should properly be called the "Constitution 2010". Chapter 6 of that constitution has something on integrity requirements for public office bearers.... and some Kenyans, voters mark you, have gone to the courts, a legal process, seeking to have the chapter interpreted in reference to you and Hon. Ruto. It is the law... Respect and like Madam Hillary, please refrain from making comments on issues before a court of law!

zem2012(Mr.Amwoma) • 11 years ago

@facebook-583820069 -Exactly.They skip that part and tell us that it is the 40 million Kenya who will decide. They do not regard that part of the constitution. That tells you how much they care about the rule of law.

ngaii • 11 years ago

Are you saying, Hilary could comment on a matter before a court but the subject cannot? Be clearer.

zem2012(Mr.Amwoma) • 11 years ago

@ngaii-It is not about a matter before a court,it is about the constitution and what it says. The constitution says who can run for office and who cannot. That is where the problem is.But Uhuru says it for the 40 million people to decide. He does not want to address what the constitution defines. For him, the end justifies the means.

symore themoose • 11 years ago

Mr Kenyatta, we know that you have all the Money, But you luck one very precious think. Common sense! " i call it immidiate Knowledge" jus to be sure the critical thinkers dont bust me.
now About your Comments, Kenya is a republic with its court system, the new court you cannot buy, the new court that was recently born against your wishes.
We the people of kenya subscripe to the court system and so should you!
it is the law of the land, that courts will interprate the law for us and decide in fair terms thereof.
you are a failed candidate, choose your words before saying them, they indicate arrogance and timidness.

ngaii • 11 years ago

The court has not ruled yet, has it?
